For 6 months of 2023, Kazakhmys Smelting LLP had 5 accidents, where 6 employees were injured, compared to the same period last year, injuries decreased by 40% - 6 injured in 6 months of this year.

For 6 months of 2023, Kazakhmys Smelting LLP had 5 accidents, where 6 employees were injured, compared to the same period last year, injuries decreased by 40% - 6 injured in 6 months of this year against 10 for the same period last year. Of the 6 victims:

— no deaths were registered — injuries compared to the same period remained at the level.

— with a severe outcome — 2 victims — injuries compared to the same period last year remained at the level.

— with a mild outcome — 4 victims — in this category, injuries decreased by 50%.

In order to reduce occupational injuries, various measures and strategies are being implemented, which include:

— training and awareness;

— improvement of working conditions;

— development of security systems;

— introduction of new technologies;

— implementation of a risk management system;

— development of safety culture, etc.

As of 2023, Kazakhmys Smelting LLP has a rolling program to reduce injuries for 2022−2023.

1. In 2022, 32 events were implemented for Kazakhmys Smelting LLP.

2. For 2023, it is planned to implement 19 events, of which 11 events have been postponed from 2022.

3. 11 events in 2022 were postponed to 2023 due to the suspension of funding.

4. For 2023, it is planned to carry out 15 events for Kazakhmys Smelting LLP, further Partnerships, 6 events may be postponed to 2024 (Copper Refining Shop, Smelting Shop of Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter, Copper Smelting Shop, Sulfuric Acid Plant of Balkhash Copper Smelter)

5. 9 events have been postponed to 2024 due to the suspension of funding for 2023.

A sliding program to reduce injuries of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP has been re-developed, with dividing by production facilities for 2023−2024.

There is also a developed Comprehensive Plan for the Target Program for Risk Reduction.

According to the Comprehensive Plan, 3 activities have been completed, 10 activities are planned to be completed in 2023, and 2 activities have been postponed due to a reduction in investment.

In 2022, more than 500 engineering and technical personnel and 2,500 employees of the Partnership were trained in the field of OSLP on the "Do It Like This|" platform, in February 2023 there were completed specialized simulator courses at the "Do It Like This|" program;
