Reduction of manual labor at Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter!

In continuation of the previous publication, we hasten to share the innovation at the Sulfuric Acid Plant of Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter.

Traditionally, the level of sulfuric acid in the storage facilities of the SAP was measured manually using a measuring rod. At the same time, the workers were forced to come into contact with sulfuric acid, to rise to a height of 9.5 meters every shift in any weather.

At the initiative of the SAP employees, radar level gauges were purchased and installed for automatic measurement in storage facilities No. 3 and No. 5, which eliminates the risk of chemical burns, falls from a height, strain on the back and musculoskeletal system.

Now the sulfuric acid level data is transmitted directly to the operator online. We are waiting for new offers!

Let’s make our work safer together!
