General Director of#nbsp;Kazakhmys Smelting Zhanibek Baigabelov completed a#nbsp;commission inspection of#nbsp;the condition of#nbsp;the sanitary facilities of#nbsp;the Zhezkazgan and Balkhash Copper Smelters.

During the inspection, all canteens, first-aid posts, locker rooms, business trips, showers and toilets of#nbsp;both plants were visited. The most critical places and an#nbsp;overall assessment of#nbsp;the state of#nbsp;the sanitary-consumer rooms were identified.

This year we#nbsp;plan to#nbsp;carry out 4 overhauls of#nbsp;showers and locker rooms at#nbsp;Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter and 5 at#nbsp;Balkhash Copper Smelter, overhaul of#nbsp;the 66th canteen of#nbsp;Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter and the Kazkat Plant. As#nbsp;well as#nbsp;the construction of#nbsp;a#nbsp;new canteen at#nbsp;Sulfuric Acid Plant of#nbsp;Balkhash Copper Smelter and the start of#nbsp;construction of#nbsp;a#nbsp;new canteen at#nbsp;Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter, which we#nbsp;plan to#nbsp;open in#nbsp;2024.
