30 YEARS OF THE COPPER AND ENAMELED WIRE PRODUCTION SHOP!

A ceremonial event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the copper and enameled wire production shop of Kazakhmys Smelting was held in Balkhash. The anniversary brought together employees of the enterprise, industry veterans, plant management, and invited guests.

A key highlight of the event was the summing up of three decades of the shop’s operations. Over this period, it has become one of the most reliable production units of the enterprise and an important part of the city’s industrial infrastructure.

The event highlighted the main stages of the shop’s establishment and development. Construction began in 1995, and the facility was commissioned in 1996. Both Kazakhstani and international companies participated in the project, while specialists received training at international industrial sites.

Today, the shop steadily produces up to 12,000 tons of enameled wire annually, as well as copper wire for the cable and electrical engineering industries. The products are widely used in industrial applications and meet modern standards of quality and reliability.

Special attention during the event was given to employees who made a significant contribution to the development of production.

Among the award recipients:

— Shop manager Yerkin Zhumabekov - “Eñbek Dañqy” badge of honor, 1st degree

— Wire drawing operator Yermek Madiev - “Eñbek Dañqy” badge of honor, 3rd degree

— Maintenance mechanic Dmitry Kharchenkov - title “Eñbek Ozaty”

In addition, a number of employees were awarded certificates of honor from the “Kazakmys” Corporation, Kazakhmys Smelting, and the “Kásip Qorǵan” trade union.

The anniversary became not only an important milestone in the history of the enterprise, but also a confirmation of its stable development, technological potential, and readiness for further growth.
