Events dedicated to the International Occupational Safety and Health Day have successfully concluded at the Zhezkazgan and Balkhash Copper Smelters of Kazakhmys Smelting.
From April 1 to April 28, the company organized an Occupational Safety and Industrial Safety Month, which included a series of competitions, sports events, and corporate initiatives aimed at improving safety culture, increasing employee engagement, and strengthening team spirit.
Production personnel, specialists, managers, and employees’ family members actively participated in the events. Throughout the month, the plants hosted competitions for the title of “Best Workshop,” relay races among voluntary fire brigades, contests for the best video, best safety initiative, and children’s drawing competitions.
Following the results of the campaign, the best departments and employees were recognized.
During the award ceremonies, General Director of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP, Zhanibek Altynbekovich, emphasized that ensuring safe and comfortable working conditions remains one of the company’s key priorities. He also noted that the development of a strong safety culture and support for employee initiatives are important components of the sustainable development of the enterprises.
Winners and active participants received commemorative gifts, diplomas, and letters of appreciation from the company management.
The campaign once again demonstrated the high level of corporate culture, team unity, and the importance of joint efforts in occupational and industrial safety.
Occupational safety remains a core value of Kazakhmys Smelting and the foundation of stable and efficient operations.
