In order to strengthen fire safety in the structural subdivisions of the Partnership, each first and third Wednesday of the month are designated by order as the "Fire Safety Day" for the Partnership. As part of the fire safety day, target fire safety inspections are carried out on an ongoing basis in the structural divisions of the Partnership.
In order to ensure fire safety in the structural divisions of the Partnership, the following work was carried out:
— a long-term Agreement concluded with Seriktes Emergency and Rescue Service LLP for the provision of fire safety services at the Partnership’s facilities for a period of 3 years; and Agreement with the same company for the provision of services of the gas rescue service of the Balkhash Copper Smelter facility of the Partnership for a period of 3 years were concluded;
— for all structural divisions of the Partnership, the Plans of Accidents Elimination for 2023 was developed and approved. All employees of the enterprise are familiarized with the Plans of Accidents Elimination against signature;
— in order to develop the practical skills of personnel actions in the event of accidents, technological violations, possible fires at a hazardous production facility, together with Seriktes Emergency and Rescue Service LLP training, emergency and fire fighting trainings are carried out according to the approved schedule.
Also, in order to prevent and enhance fire safety at the facilities of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP, a Plan of fire and preventive measures to ensure fire safety in the structural divisions of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP was developed and approved for the spring-summer fire hazard period 2023. Constant control and monitoring of the implementation of fire and preventive measures for the structural divisions of the Partnership is carried out.
